Our Commitment

Dignity comes first.

ABIDE works with young women whose privacy and safety must always take priority over publicity.

We recognise that stories can help organisations communicate their impact. We also recognise that no participant should feel obligated to publicly disclose her personal history in exchange for support.

ABIDE therefore takes a privacy-conscious approach to communications.

We prioritise

  • Dignity
  • Informed consent
  • Participant safety
  • Appropriate confidentiality
  • Respectful representation
  • Responsible use of photography
  • Minimal disclosure of personal information

Where appropriate, ABIDE shares aggregate programme results, anonymous insights and institutional outcomes instead of identifiable personal stories.

What we will not publish

  • Identifiable photographs of programme beneficiaries without explicit authorised consent
  • Participant surnames or residential locations
  • Information identifying a specific children’s home, care facility or placement
  • Personal histories that could reveal a participant’s identity
  • Detailed descriptions of trauma
  • Case histories designed primarily to generate sympathy
  • Personal legal, medical, family or welfare information

A participant’s circumstances should never become a marketing asset.

Help turn preparation into opportunity.

Partner with ABIDE to create pathways into education, employment, entrepreneurship and independent adulthood.
